FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Reaches the Milestone of 2 Million Subscribers
Have you been playing FFXIV: A Realm Reborn? Did you notice how many people are playing the game? Well, you would say a lot, but here’s the official figure. We have received a press release from Square Enix Inc. stating that the total number of registered accounts has crossed 2 million – globally.
The game is currently available for purchase at a price tag of $39.99 for PS4 and $29.99 for PS3 and Windows PC. The monthly subscriptions start from $12.99 and you get a 30 days free trial when you register the game on a new platform.
We had reported previously how Square Enix was banning thousands of people from FFXIV: A Realm Reborn for violation of certain rules and regulations. Naturally, things like that are expected when there is a community this big.
This comes parallel to news of Sony selling off all its shareholding in Square Enix for a shockingly low price of $47 million. The company owned over 9.5 million shares in the publisher that, if calculated on the market price, should have been priced for over $150 million.
FFXIV: A Realm Reborn is proving to be a real hit among the Final Fantasy fans, 2 million global registered accounts in eight months is really impressive. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was released to PS3 and Microsoft Windows on August 27, 2013 while the PS4 version of the game got released only a couple of days ago.
