4 New Champions Announced for Heroes of the Storm
At PAX East today, Blizzard revealed four new characters for their upcoming free to play MOBA Heroes of the Storm.
Heroes of the Storm brings popular characters from every Blizzard franchise and the latest reveals includes three champions from the World of Warcraft franchise and one from the StarCraft franchise.
- Li Li, a Pandaren Support champ capable of holding out on her own in the battlefield.
- Brightwing the Fairy Dragon is a mage-support champ who can heal and teleport between allies.
- Murky the Murloc is said to be a very squishy champion but also comes with the ability to respawn instantly after death.
- Zagara the Broodmother can summon Broodlings, buff her speed by placing creep tumors on the battlefield, as well as summon Nydus worms which can transport her Broodlings all over the map.
Blizzard also revealed that they are currently working on three more World of Warcraft champions for Heroes of the Storm. These are Sylvanas the Banshee Queen, Chen Stormstout the Pandaren Brewmaster and Kael’Thas Sunstrider Lord of the Blood Elves.
No word yet on when the game will release. We though can expect the title to be released alongside the final StarCraft 2 chapter Legacy of the Void (Hint: Blizzard announced changing the name from Legacy of the Void to Herald of the Stars on April 1. Get it? HotS?).
