Dragon Age Inquisition Won’t be Getting any DLC Characters

Some of you might not be happy about this news, but what can we do. BioWare has made their decision regarding the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC characters debate. They have announced that the game will not get any characters as DLC.

Mike Laidlaw the creative director responsible for Dragon Age Inquisition was talking to Official Xbox Magazine when he explained how a criticism relating to on-disc DLC had led them to drop the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC characters outright:

Because of how deeply enmeshed in the system companion characters are, we can’t just add them on the fly; part of them has to be shipped on the disc. Which has led to criticism that we’re forcing people to pay for content they already own. It’s not the case, but we’ve decided this time to not go that route. There will be no DLC party members.

This means that the only characters you will get to play with are the ones that will come along with the disc when you buy it. So far we know of six characters (known in the game as party members), but in total there are going to be nine of them.

The party members already known are: Cassandra Pentaghast, Varric, Vivienne, Sera, Iron Bull and Solas.

It is rumored that Alistair could be one of the remaining party members. We know that Morrigan is going to be in the game’s cast though she might not be a playable character.

Now that we know that Dragon Age Inquisition DLC is not going to add to the list of party members, who do you think the remaining characters should be?
