Warlords of Draenor Will Have Better Character Models and Animations

World of Warcraft was released almost a decade ago and since then, it has barely taken a wrong step. The game is going from strength to strength every single year and it looks like Blizzard wants to continue improving their game with the upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor.

In a blog post at Battle.net, developer posted a number of screenshots and videos that show the level of detail that has been brought into the characters and the sleek design and effort that has been put into re-creating a Tauren’s model.

Before we even started animating him, we already knew the Tauren was going to be a blast to work on based on all of the detail the character art team added.

As we begin applying animations, we’re extra careful not to stray too far from the original. It’s important to us to retain the essence of the original animations, because how a characters walk, move, and carry themselves help to define their personality.

The developer focused on the stand animation and put in a lot of hard work into it, because it is what you and all the players look like, most of the time.

Moreover, Warlords of Draenor will have new facial animations, which will give the characters more emotions. Apart from the jaw of the character, you will notice the eyes, cheeks and brows’ movement as well.

The movements of the characters have also been enhanced and will be a lot better than it was before.
