Ultra Street Fighter IV Lands in Japanese Arcades Later This Month

By   /   Apr 7, 2014

It has been confirmed that Capcom’s new Ultra Street Fighter IV will launch in Japanese arcades later this month on the 17.

The latest installment in the iconic fighting game franchise is relatively the same as that of the previous Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. The new aspects come in the form of five new characters (Elena, Rolento, Poison, Hugo, and the recently unveiled Decapre) and new stages; along with balance tweaks and the new optional Double Ultra mode and extended Red Focus attack. It will furthermore include all previously released costumes of all characters.

Decapre will not be playable in the arcade version of the game on launch day. She is said to join the roster through an update patch that’s scheduled for a later date. It’s possible that this patch will wait until the game is released on other platforms.

Decapre was the last mysterious character that was recently revealed. She is essentially a Cammy clone, and shares both her character model as well as her animations. Her tool kit though allows her to play differently.

Ultra Street Fighter IV still has no release date for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC; except that it will arrive on the said platforms later this June.
