By   /   Apr 7, 2014

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed the PC requirements for its upcoming Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor title, which are quite demanding.

Minimum:

  • OS: 64-bit: Vista, Win 7, Win 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-750, 2.67 GHz | AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 | AMD Radeon HD 6950
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 25 GB available space

Recommended:

  • OS: 64-bit: Win 7, Win 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz | AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 | AMD Radeon HD 7970
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 40 GB available space

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor does indeed look good but whether it is visually stunning to ask for an i7 and a 7970 is debatable. It’s possible that we have yet to see more of what Monolith has planned for it. So far we’ve only seen a couple of locations in a gameplay reveal trailer. Perhaps other areas are highly populated and hence demands a beefed up system to run smoothly.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be released on the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 7.
