The PS3 online servers for Resistance FoM/2/3 are shutting down on April 8. Hop on tonight and relive memories w/ some Insomniacs employees.

Sony announced the shutdown of the servers of MAG, Socom: Confrontation and Confrontation, Gran Turismo 5 alongwith Resistance, last year. MAG and Socom Titles, lacking offline modes, were rendered useless. Resistance trilogy, on the other hand, can be played offline. Gran Turismo 5 online servers will go offline on May 20 losing it’s multiplayer capability.

Responding to fans’ questions for the shutdown, Insomniac Games responded by saying it wasnt entirely their decision.

Justin R Scott @hatcheatluv84 tweeted:

@insomniacgames please rethink this its not that hard does it require that much bandwidth keep it up and running!!!!!!!!!

Insomniac Games responded:

@hatcheatluv84 there are a large variety of reasons why they have to shut down. Sony makes that call though, not us. They maintain online

Resistance trilogy was developed by Insomniac Games and publishec by Sony Computer Entertainment for the Playstation 3, Playstation Portable and Playstation Vita.

Resistance Fall of Man was a launch title on the Playstation 3, centered around Sergeant Nathan Hale and the resistance as they fight against mysterious alien invaders that infect humans and turn them into the Chimera.
