Xbox One External Storage Coming Soon Along With Other Good Stuff

By   /   Apr 4, 2014

Updates to the Xbox One are rolling out pretty frequently these days, and it seems like a good idea to wish upon something from Microsoft.

For instance, this Reddit thread where Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson was asked about, and he confirmed, the Xbox One external storage option for the coming future.

Larry Hryb, who is Microsoft’s director of programming for the Xbox Live gaming network was asked if he had any word regarding Xbox One external storage.

The question also egged towards support for certain digital multimedia formats. Major Nelson confirmed that the external storage would be added soon:

External game storage is coming soon… I need to check on media support.

Moving on, he wasn’t sure if there was going to be a limit to the size of Xbox One external storage like Xbox 360 did. The previous generation console supported up to 32 GB only.

The thread in question was actually created by Xbox One user who, by expressing how he has been using, made a point that the Xbox One was gaining momentum now. The post was the usual praise, but Major Nelson replied to it saying:

Lot’s of good work going on to make the console even better – some you’ll see soon, some will show up later. But: it is all good stuff 🙂

I have my fingers crossed for an even better experience than what we have with the Xbox One, and surely the Xbox One external storage feature is something we could really use, don’t you think?
