VoidExpanse Space RPG Alpha Build Out Now

By   /   Apr 2, 2014

Indie PC title VoidExpanse has released a public build for anyone that purchases one of its tiers. Doing so will yield release to the game currently in Alpha state.

There are three tiers to choose from. We’ll list their contents and price below:

Standard – $9.99:

  • Early Access

Gold – $11.99

  • Early Access
  • Wallpapers
  • Concept Art

Platinum – $14.99:

  • Early Access
  • Wallpapers
  • Concept Art
  • Soundtrack

Only the early build will be available for now. Additional goods will release upon the game reaching Beta status. Should the game come to Steam, an early purchase will also guarantee a key there.

VoidExpanse is modeled after classic, isometric roleplaying games (RPG) like Diablo, but set in space instead of dungeons. Still, the same rules basically apply.

Players create a ship that can be upgraded through a skill tree, combat is set in real time and comes with swarms of enemies and level design is kept as open as possible through procedural generation.

Even the game’s story will receive a random model, though not all of that may be present right now. VoidExpanse is still in Alpha, so features will be added as bugs are removed.

It should, however, already have some multiplayer action to allow for some fun with friends. Otherwise, you can still become a trader of goods, like good old fashioned space games do.
