Dark Souls 2 Screenshots with Better Graphics Taken Off From Steam
Many of us have been expecting to see a Dark Souls 2 PC version that would make the most of textures and graphics that were shown in the earlier builds of the game. However, hope is bleak on that front as certain Dark Souls 2 screenshots that were on Steam featuring better graphical quality were recently taken down.
Now all the Dark Souls 2 screenshots that you see on the Steam page for the game match with the quality of graphics that the console version of the game has.
Previously, From Software has been criticized for downgrading the quality of the game from what was initially shown to the audience in the early days of the game’s development. The fact that they are now trying to get rid of all those higher-quality images brings the expectations lower.
It has been argued that the console version’s graphics could have been changed in the last days so that the game could be run of frame rates that the developer has been claiming it will run on.
On the flip side of the coin is From Software’s indication that the Dark Souls 2 PC version has been the lead platform for which they have been developing the game. This does make one wish for a better quality of visuals.
Do you think that the removal of Dark Souls 2 screenshots from Steam were done by Namco Bandai in order to avoid further criticism on the quality of graphics that the PC version will have? Or do you think that the PC version will manage to fulfill the anticipation?
