Dragon Age: Inquisition Features 5 Regions, 40 Different Endings and Animals to Hunt
The latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine has some new details on Dragon Age: Inquisition. According to the article, the game’s world will feature five different regions to explore called Fereldan, The Free Marches, Orlais, Nevarra and the Dales.
Each region will be divided into different areas, with each having its own unique environmental setting, enemies and the like. As an example, the article quoted an area in Orlais called the Emerald Graves; which is said to be a place where a group called the Dalish Elves planted a tree for every fallen soldier of the Exalted Marches.
Enemies found in each region will not scale to your level so before entering the higher levels, players will need to be fully prepared. Additionally each region will have animals to hunt. These either have no respawn or a very slow respawn rate. Players can actually hunt one specie to “scarcity” which will allow the other species to increase in number.
One interesting detail mentioned was that each area will have certain enemies that when defeated will have a significant effect on the region. The article did not further elaborate on this.
As for the player himself, he can choose to establish new trade routes in each region, capture new territories and opt for other actions that can have a changing effect on the region in some way or the other.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will include a staggering 40 different endings that will not be entirely dependent on storyline choices. The actions you take throughout the storyline will also affect how the game ends. “The endings will all be meaningfully different from one another,” said Mark Darrah, executive producer on the game. “You won’t find 40 endings with only slight degrees of variation between them.”
Dragon Age: Inquisition will release this fall for every platform out there.
