Nvidia has announced that they will be dropping the price of the Nvidia Shield to $199 for a limited period of time. Moreover, some new features will be making their way to the portable gaming console in the update releasing next week.

The upcoming update will upgrade Shield to Android 4.4, which will allow you to stream all of your PC (including Titanfall) games even outside your home. Furthermore, it will let you wake up your system from sleep and let you log in even when you are far away from your PC.

However, there’s more! Now you will be able to attach your mouse and keyboard to your Shield device via Bluetooth with the help of console mode. New interface for TegraZone app and Gamepad Mapper will also be added.

These all features are great but there is one downside, to stream the games outside your home; you will need an incredibly powerful Wi-Fi connection.

The price drop of $100 will stay for the whole month of April. The update for the shield will drop next week on April 2nd .

If you have been waiting to get your hands on the Nvidia Shield, now is your chance. Don’t let this opportunity go to waste.
