PS3 BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Shipping In North America

By   /   Mar 25, 2014

In the final stretch for release, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma has announced that its retail version is now shipping across North America. Its Playstation Network version will release on April 1, 2014 for Playstation 3.

In BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, there will be a new combat system implemented in the fast-paced 2D fighter. Through a method called Overdrive, characters can receive a power boost, which is increased in potency depending on how much health they’ve lost.

Additionally, the game will welcome seven new faces to its current roster. There is a catch though. Only five of those are available as is, with one of them needing to be unlocked.

Amane, Bullet, Azrael, Izayoi, and Kagura will be present in the game itself. For Kokonoe and Yuuki Terumi, you’ll need to look at downloadable content (DLC).

Those who order the retail version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will receive a free voucher for Yuuki Terumi. It will be included in the limited first print run of the fighting title.

Kokonoe is an incentive for those who preorder the game from the Playstation Network version. This can be done until March 31, 2014.

Separately, you’ll be able to pick up the Kokonoe DLC immediately after launch, but Yuuki Terumi will follow on May 27, 2014.

Now have a look at that release trailer. It goes over the characters in the game, but more importantly it shows those awesome backgrounds in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma.

A Playstation Vita version of the game will follow in summer.
