Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Will Add Ladders, Seasons and Tiered Rifts in the Future
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls was released in the North American markets today. At the launch party of the game’s latest expansion, held in Los Angeles, the developers have revealed new features for the Reaper of Souls. For starters, they will be adding Ladders Season to the game as well as Tiered Rifts!
According to IncGamers, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls’ game director at Blizzard, Josh Mosqueira revealed that initially they wanted to add Ladders to Reaper of Souls right from the launch but somehow they figured it needed more time before the feature was ready to be released.
In case you are wondering, the Ladders will span over seasons making each one of them have a ‘ladder-like’ experience. In specific ladders you will have to level your player, if you manage to do so, you will be given ladder specific goodies.
The reward items could actually be anything from cosmetic to legendary special items. However, we will be looking forward to Blizzard for more information on that.
According to Josh, the Ladders will be released in a couple of months.
Other than this, the developer also announced Tiered Rifts, a feature that will put players in the Adventure mode where they will compete to see who goes the farthest. You will first clear Rift and then go on to get your hands on something called Greater Rift Token.
This in turn will get you into the Greater Rift where you will compete again and go through it as early as possible. If you manage to do so, you will be given the Great Rift Key. The better you play, the higher ranked key you will get.
What is your opinion about the new Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls features?
