Betrayer Leaves Steam Early Access; Launch Trailer Released

By   /   Mar 24, 2014

Blackpowder Games’ self funded suspense adventure title Betrayer has finally left Steam’s Early Access and is now available on Steam as an official release.

Designer and writer Craig Hubbard stated that, “Betrayer is the kind of game we’ve been wanting to make ever since we shipped F.E.A.R. You can explore large, open environments in search of clues and loot. You can tackle challenges aggressively or stealthily. You can outfit yourself with the equipment that best suits your play style. It’s a very player-driven experience.”

The team behind the title comprises of folks who in the past have been behind hits likes No One Lives Forever (I demand a sequel!) and F.E.A.R.

In Betrayer players start out stranded on an island that is filled with mysteries, that also includes the supernatural. The game hosts stealth exploration and presents itself in black, white and red. However, players will have access to lots of contrast options that will also allow them to play in color. It depend on the player entirely.

Betrayer has been in Early Access since August 2013. You can purchase it now through Steam for $18 by March 31, after which it will be for $20.
