Titanfall Increases the Xbox One Sales by 96%
This news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone. The most anticipated title of the 2014, Titanfall was just released a week ago and just in that time, it has boosted the sales of Xbox One by 96 percent in the UK.
Titanfall was considered to be one of the biggest releases of this year and it hasn’t disappointed. In less than one week, the game has taken the top spot as the best-selling game in UK. It beats the previous number one spot holder FIFA 14 by almost a double percentage.
Xbox One was struggling in the start against the PlayStation 4 but with Titanfall and so many other great exclusives scheduled to release in 2014, you can expect them to go toe to toe with the Sony by the end of the year.
Recent report by NPD also suggested that the Xbox One is getting real close to catching up to Sony.
Note that the Xbox One Titanfall bundle was made available in Europe at a discounted price of £399 and that bundle makes up for over 70% of Xbox One sales in the last week.
Dark Souls 2, another eagerly anticipated title of 2014 secured the second spot while Southpark: The Stick of the Truth is at the third spot.
Titanfall’s success shouldn’t surprise anyone because the game became one of the most anticipated title when it was first shown at E3 where it received multiple awards from different websites.
Titanfall was released for the Xbox One and PC last week on March 11th and it will make its way to the Xbox 360 on March 25.
