Special Editions of CastleStorm and KickBeat Heading to PS4 and Xbox One

By   /   Mar 17, 2014

Zen Studios is bringing special editions of both CastelStorm and KickBeat to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year.

Posting on the PlayStation Blog today, Bobby Loertscher of Zen Studios revealed that CastleStorm: Definitive Edition will run at 60 frames per second and 1080p on the PS4. It will also feature “new battles, modes, spells and features,” as well as all of the original game’s campaigns and expansions.

Set in medieval times, the 2D tower defense title is mixed with brawler action and has its own custom castle editor, solo campaign, online multiplayer, co-op modes and more.

As for KickBeat: Special Edition, there will be plenty of new soundtracks for players to play with. The crazy kung-fu themed rhythm fighter will also allow players to create new tracks with their music. The original campaign will be greatly improved and enhanced and will offer several ways for players to interact with music and “combine beat-matching mechanics with an acrobatic style of martial arts.”

The prices and release dates for both titles were not part of the announcement. Zen Studios though promised a new, unannounced IP for Pinball FX2 on Xbox One.
