Dota 2 Documentary “Free-to-Play” is now Available for Preload on Steam
Back in February, Free to Play, the Dota 2 documentary was brought back to news by a report that Valve will be beta testing it before an official release. Now, words has come from Steam that the documentary is available for pre-loading on to your Steam accounts.
If you pre-load the Dota 2 documentary now, it will be made available to you immediately after the official launch on March 19, 2014. The only requirement is that you must have Steam installed.
Although the Steam Free to Play Documentary project has been around for enough time to let everyone know about it; even then if you are confused about what the plot of the documentary is, Valve’s description explains it very well:
“Free to Play is a feature-length documentary that follows three professional gamers from around the world as they compete for a million dollar prize in the first Dota 2 International Tournament. In recent years, e-sports has surged in popularity to become one of the most widely-practiced forms of competitive sport today. A million dollar tournament changed the landscape of the gaming world and for those elite players at the top of their craft, nothing would ever be the same again.”
Valve believes that the documentary will throw light on the challenges and sacrifices that players have to make in order to get to the top of gaming competitions that are worldwide.
