Titanfall Dev Confirms “Game’s Resolution Increase May Never Happen”
The producer of Respawn Entertainment Drew McCoy spilled a lot of information on the future of their recently released FPS Titanfall.
The producer held Q&A session on his Twitter account. He confirmed that there will be a lot of improvements coming to the game including the support for SmartGlass Companion App.
Titanfall launched with 792p resolution and the developers are trying their best to increase it to at least 900p with AA present. When someone asked about the increase in resolution the producer replied “Maybe never. Working on improving performance alongside. We’ll see how it goes…”
He also mentioned that the upcoming patch of the game will bring Private Matches and also fix the PC’s frame-rate cap which is locked at 60 FPS.
The studio is also working on assigning colors to the team so that it is easy to spot the players on the same team and they are working on supporting the eSports with private lobbies and patches.
However, there is some bad news; the developer confirmed that the player count in a match will not be increased. He said on the topic:
Any change, especially playercount, is a huge deal for a tightly designed game like this. More than you could imagine.
Titanfall was release just two days ago in North America and will be making its way to Europe tomorrow. The game has received positive reviews from the critics to become an instant hit in the industry.
