Jonathan Morin, the creative director of Watch Dogs, has revealed the minimum PC requirements needed to play Watch Dogs.
CPU: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz or AMDPhenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz
Memory: 6GB RAM
Video Card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 Shader 5.0
Sound Card: DirectX9
Hard Disk: 25 GB
Everything seems pretty standard, except for the minimum requirement of 6GB of RAM. I’m assuming that the recommended requirements will demand 8GB of RAM. That’s a lot of memory! or perhaps Morin made a mistake there.
Ubisoft came under fire recently after showcasing a gameplay video of Watch Dogs that revealed the developer had toned the game down when compared to the initial demo shown at E3 last year. The gameplay was said to be taken off the PlayStation 4 version which according to Ubisoft is the same as that of the PC. Suffice to say gamers weren’t too pleased with that and many were vocal about cancelling their pre-orders.
Watch Dogs releases on May 27 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. We’ll know then how big a difference there is between the PS4 and PC version.
