Hawken Launches on Steam as a Free to Play Title

By   /   Mar 11, 2014

Developer Adhesive Games made their game “Hawken” available on Steam Early Access a few weeks ago and now the game is free to play for everyone on PC.

However, it should be noted that the game is still an early access game, it will be fully released at the end of the year. Only change now is that the game has become free to play, but you still have to pay full price for the additional content and bundles rather than purchasing them at a discount.

Hawken is a game that focuses largely on the Mech vs. Mech combat; the battle experience is extremely intense and fast paced, to stay on the top of the opposition; you will have to take strategic actions.

The developers are planning to release five game modes when the game hit the shelves before the end of the year:

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Free for all death match
  • Co-op bot destruction
  • Siege
  • Missile Assault

Hawken debuted with open beta in the December of 2012 before making its way to Steam Early Access. If you are interested in Mech vs. Mech combat then you should try out Hawken and let us know your impressions of the game in the comments below!
