Looks like the PS4 vs Xbox One battle is turning one-sided as far as sales victories are concerned....
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Gets Split Screen Co-op Trailer on Xbox One
Publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has released a new trailer for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, detailing its cooperative mode. We get to see exactly how this works when playing in split-screen.
First off, split-screen is exclusive to the Xbox One version of the game. That means that you’ll need to connect online on Xbox 360 to play together.
In the clip, we take a look at one of the game’s main modes, where players take on waves of zombies. After you’ve set up your garden in the colorful environment, the game will start spawning dudes everywhere.
This particular run is done with some of the new characters introduced in the game. On the top part of the screen, we see a Fire Cactus, which does fire damage over time, while the bottom freezes foes with an Ice Peashooter.
After a few waves, you’ll see a slot machine pop up. This prompts what boss battles will be coming up, as well as what backup this will bring. For instance, here we have a gargantuan zombie that gets accompanied by an enemy-producing tombstone and a bag of coins for the players.
By using Microsoft’s Smartglass application, you’ll be able to enter Boss Mode on a tablet and assist players from overhead. This is similar to EA’s Commander Mode in Battlefield 4.
It’s said that Boss Mode has Crazy Dave flying in an RV overhead. Here, you can collect sun for resources and then yield the benefits below.
For support, you can plant healing stations or resurrect characters that have fallen. Alternatively, you can launch a cherry bomb airstrike to take out some foes yourself.
In earlier news, it was announced that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will get a slight delay. It’s still coming in February though.
