Xboxie Let’s You Play HTML 5 Browser Games on Xbox One

By   /   2 years ago

One of the Users of Reddit CitadelSaint has come up with one of the greatest idea ever. It is simple yet quite unique. He has named his creation Xboxie.

Xboxie, as the name suggests (Xbox + IE), is a website that you can visit using your Xbox One’s browser, Internet Explorer. Once you have opened the website, you will be able to browse the list of HTML 5 based games. The games have been changed to make sure they work with your Xbox One controller. The website also lists how the games are best played.

CitadeSaint writes:

As most of HTML 5 games are designed with Keyboard in mind it means there is very little with controller support. After googling for hours to find working games I decided to put together a site with every game I’ve test and I know that works

The website is extremely well laid out as to not look like a wreck on your Xbox One. The website does not host any of the games but links to the websites that have made the game freely available on the net.

There will updates coming next week, he writes:

Over the next week I will be adding hundreds of games to the site (But I’ve been programming all today so I’ve decided to give myself a break).

If you want this website to be available to you at all time, you can pin it to your Xbox One Dashboard. This does seem like a ground-breaking idea. What do you make of it? Tell us in the comments below!
