Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Amulets Locations Guide

By   /   2 years ago

The collectibles in Max: The Curse of Brotherhood comprise of 2 things:

  • Finding and destroying all 75 Evil Eyes
  • Finding and combining all 18 Amulet Pieces

And just like Evil Eyes, these pieces are scattered throughout the seven chapters of the game. The Achievements tied with this collectible are:

  • Lost and Found = 5G
  • Some Assembly Required = 5G
  • Amulet Hunter = 50G
  • Tree of Life = 75G

The pieces can be collected in any order but this guide has been written in chapter’s ascending order. Furthermore, to provide better references, I’ve linked my Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Evil Eyes Locations which will help you in a much better way.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Amulets Locations

Chapter #1 – Sea of Sand

Amulet #1
Location: After getting the second and third Evil Eye, you’ll have to build four pillars to cross the quicksand.

The trick is to build the last pillar a little above the ground. Get on the pillar and jump to a small hidden area to find the first Amulet piece.

Chapter #1 – Black Rock Canyon

Amulet #2
Location: After collecting the sixth Evil Eye, you’ll have to evade a Critter with the next Amulet in the top-right corner of your screen; accessed via crawling.

In order to reach it, you’ll have to take out the Spikester. After that, build the pillar to its full height and grab the Amulet piece.

Chapter #1 – The Crossing

Amulet #3
Location: After collecting the eleventh Evil Eye, you’ll see a Critter right next to a Sucker. Evade the Critter in such a manner that it gets sucked by the Sucker.

Hop over the creature and build the pillar. Jump to your right and you will get the Amulet piece.

Chapter #2 – Roots

Amulet #4
Location: Once you learn about creating branches, head down to the pink pit and you’ll see an Amulet piece in the top-left corner of your screen.

Create the first U-shaped branch with the second spawn point and then cut it down. Drag it to reach the first branch. Now, create the second branch again and jump on it.

Grab the third branch and re-create the second branch so that it leads directly to the Amulet piece.

Chapter #2 – Into the Winds

Amulet #5
Location: You’ll come across a broken bridge with a pillar and branch spawn near it.

Create the branch and die which will change the camera and you’ll see another branch spawn to your left. Create the branch and get the Amulet.

Chapter #2 – Father Oak

Amulet #6
Location: During the slow motion sequence, create a vine and swing to your left. Create the second vine and reach the platform; the camera angle will change revealing the Amulet piece.

Connect both vine and branch and cut down the vine so that you could reach the upper area leading to the Amulet piece.

Chapter #2 – Tomb of the Giants

Amulet #7
Location: After destroying the Evil Eye #30; attach the vine to the branch and reach the Amulet piece above.

Chapter #3 – Lost in the Dark

Amulet #8
Location: You’ll come to an area with a visage of a statue to your right. Instead, go left and climb the ledges. Connect the vine and the branch and reach the Amulet piece.

Chapter #3 – Lantern Bugs

Amulet #9
Location: After collecting Evil Eye #37; you’ll see a branch spawn near a vine spawn. Swing the vine to reach the branch and drop down into the water below to get the next Amulet piece.

Chapter #3 – Sliding Escape

Amulet #10
Location: You’ll see an Evil Eye and an Amulet opposite each other; near the pit. Create the branch in a zigzag manner to reach the Amulet piece.

Chapter #4 – The Scared Pool

Amulet #11
Location: During the part when you’ll use stream to avoid falling damage of a height, you’ll see another stream spawn to your left which can be used to send you upwards instead of left. You’ll find the Amulet piece above.

Chapter #4 – The Great Fall

Amulet #12
Location: After crossing the waterfall, you’ll have to move a tree trunk. Use the water stream to lift the tree trunk and hop over the branch to get the Amulet piece.

Chapter #5 – Getting Warmer

Amulet #13
Location: After getting the Evil Eye #53; jump to your left to find a hidden area containing the Amulet piece.

Chapter #5 – Chamber of Fire

Amulet #14
Location: Once you learn about creating fireballs, go to the next area and use fireballs to destroy the blocked path and rock. Use it to reach the hidden area above and grab the next Amulet piece.

Chapter #5 – Mastacho’s Dungeon

Amulet #15
Location: After collecting the Evil Eye #63; get to door on the top-right. Cut the branch and merge it with the fireball. Now, drag this into the next room and destroy the hidden door to your right. The Amulet piece will be downwards.

Chapter #6 – Breakout

Amulet #16
Location: After taking out the 2 Bombers, throw the fireball at the left wall to get the Amulet piece.

Chapter #6 – Death by Lava

Amulet #17
Location: At the very end of this chapter, you’ll see a stream spawn. Keep on taking the stream upwards until you see a rope. Grab the rope and you’ll get to the Amulet piece.

Chapter #7 – The Tower

Amulet #18
Location: After activating the lift, take it to the upper floors and instead of stopping at the first floor, take it further up and you’ll obtain the final piece of Amulet.
