Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z Adds Lolita Gothic Outfit
There’s no stopping Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z in putting more and more references in its game, as noted by another new costume. As reported by Siliconera, the game’s protagonist can be seen touting a brightly pink outfit.
It’s not sure whether this crossover material will be available for regions outside of Japan, since its origin may be lost on other people. This costume stems from an upcoming Japanese movie called Nuiguruma Z.
Aside from just having the “Z” part in common with the game, this film applies a zombie theme to its gothic lolita persona. By merging with her weird, talking teddy bear, the movie’s protagonist can turn into an undead killing warrior.
If you’re wondering why the brutal ninja franchise needs this, it’s because Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z also moves away from thugs to put in zombies as its enemy populace. It also employs a cel-shading theme with lots of added gore.
Previously, the game was revealed to also have a suit coming from Mighty No. 9, due to the fact that the companies developing the game overlap. There’s also a throwback inside that takes players to the NES origin of the Ninja Gaiden franchise.
In short, this game won’t be the one you once remembered it to be. There’s no way Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is going to stick to its older models. You better accept it now.
