Warner Bros. announced a new Lord of the Rings game for next-gen consoles last month along with an official box-art for Playstation 4. Although not much details were provided but the game still managed to excite millions of fans; especially for its next-gen appeal.
The game is called Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and is set between the events of LOTR and The Hobbit. Players will control Talion; an audacious fighter who has lost his everything and is brought back from death by a mysterious spirit. It is also said that Talion has unimaginable powers at his disposal to rule the world.
The game will very carefully take your decisions into consideration and will shape it up as you make choices. Nemesis System is said to be a core element of this title which will let you create new relationships and your very own stories.
The AI has been designed in a way that they can be easily differentiated from each other based on their strengths, weaknesses, and distinctive personalities. The game’s dynamic world is said to remember players’ each decision and action.
“Every enemy players face is a unique individual, differentiated by their personality, strengths and weaknesses. Enemy encounters create personal archenemies specific to every gameplay session. Players must out-think each distinctively different enemy to infiltrate the ranks and dominate within the dynamic world that remembers and adapts to their actions and choices.”
Furthermore, five new screenshots and concept art have been released to give you a taste of what to expect from the game when it will release somewhere in 2014 for PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. As of now, Wii U is not mentioned anywhere.
