Shoot ‘em up ‘Velocity Ultra’ Hits PC With Free Swag on Steam and Green Man Gaming

Publisher Curve Studio has announced the release of Velocity Ultra on PC. Depending on your region, the game is available for £6.49, $9.99 or €8.99.

This top-scrolling shoot ‘em up is available through multiple digital stores, each with their own set of incentives. You can either choose to get the game through Steam or Green Man Gaming.

For Steam users, the game is up at a 10% discount for a brief time. If you own either Curve Studio’s Stealth Bastard Deluxe or Hotline Miami in your library, however, you will be given a 20% discount voucher, somewhere around the time that the shooter hits Steam.

Should you buy the game there, you’ll also be awarded a 50% discount slip for Defense Technica. This tower defense game hails from publisher Devolver Digital, which also owns Hotline Miami. These publishers seem to be in cahoots with each other.

We might favor the Green Man Gaming deal for the following reasons. First up, you don’t need to spend extra money. Every purchase comes with a free copy for the platform game Explodemon, no strings attached.

What makes this interesting though, is that you can take advantage of the store’s frequent general discounts to bring down the price. It currently has a voucher for a 25% discount, which puts the price below that of Steam.

Just use this upon checking out on Green Man Gaming:

GMG25-XI6UI-D5GBQ

You get and the game and the discount. Steam doesn’t have that.
