You often come across situations when you could no longer access your PSN account due to forgotten E-mail or PSN Password. No need to fright as Playstation 4 offers several ways of recovering it without needing much effort.

To recover your PSN Account, Playstation 4 system provides you with three different scenarios based on your situation:

To change your SEN password if you know the email address and password associated with your SEN account
First, you need to press ‘Up’ on your D-Pad to bring up the Function Area. Now go to ‘Settings’ > ‘PSN [Account Information]’ > ‘Password’ and then press ‘X’.

Enter your User ID and Password followed by entering the new password and confirming it.

To change your SEN password if you do not know your password, but have access to the email account and date-of-birth associated with the account
Just like in the above mentioned process, press ‘Up’ on your D-Pad to open the Function Area.

Now go to ‘Settings’ > ‘PSN’ > ‘Sign-in’. Enter your User ID and select ‘Forgot Your Password?’

You will be asked to enter your User ID followed by your Date-of-Birth associated with that account.

Confirm your Date-of-Birth and an E-mail having instructions to reset your password will be dispatched to your E-mail address associated to your PSN Account. Don’t forget to check your Junk/Spam Folder for email.

To change your PSN/SEN password if you don’t know your password and don’t have access to both the email account and the date-of-birth associated with your PSN/SEN account
This is the worst scenario, you can get yourself in. In case, you do not have access to any of things mentioned above then your solace lies in contacting Sony Customer Care Support which can be accessed both via Phone and Live Chat:
