Looks like the PS4 vs Xbox One battle is turning one-sided as far as sales victories are concerned....
Gamestop Manager Confirms PS4 Pre-Orders are Greater than Xbox One
It’s not like we expected differently, the fact that PS4 Pre-Orders are Greater than Xbox One is nearly common knowledge now but somebody in position has confirmed the same for a Gamestop store.
A manager at Gamestop took to Reddit for an Ask Me Anything session regarding PlayStation 4 where he was asked how many PS4 preorders had his store received in total. His reply was a casual “I think my store hit ~150 vs ~30 XBone [sic].”
That is nearly five times greater preorders for PlayStation 4, we can safely assume that the actual difference in the average number of preorders could not be this big but it still denotes significance.
While answering a general question about the average preorder rates across the stores he said “the only store I saw with more XBone pre orders than PS4 was a mall store, had like 110 PS4 and 115 Xbone [sic]. Otherwise on average, there is a decent amount more PS4 pre orders.”
Other than that, the manager left quite an insightful advice into the games you’d want to buy. He insists that games like Knack and Killzone Shadow Fall will be in limited supply so you might find it tough to grab them.
Since both the games and COD: Ghosts is available right now, you better get your copy while there is one in the market.
Furthering his comment, he ensured that other AAA titles will not be that hard to get, so rest assured. As far as BF4, NBA, FIFA and Madden are concerned, he suggests you pre-order your copy now to avoid waiting when you should be playing.
Oh and controllers might be in short supply too, so there’s another thing you will have to roll up the sleeves for.
