Blizzard All Stars is Now Called Heroes of the Storm
It is no secret that Blizzard was working on a MOBA game, it was previously called Blizzard All-Stars but now the developer has announced that the game will be called Heroes of the Storm.
Only last month they had filed a trademark application for the title Heroes of the Storm and it was boldly speculated by some as the MOBA title that they were working on.
Blizzard All-Stars as we formerly knew, it was to be a combination of heroes from some of the most popular franchises by Blizzard Entertainment i.e. WarCraft, Diablo and StarCraft – no wonder the new title is better suited.
Jon Burton of Carbot Animations has produced a teaser for the game with the new title which has been used on the new website of the game that Blizzard has recently outed. Here’s what the teaser’s description reads:
“Set aside whatever you think you knew about Blizzard All-Stars, and get ready for what’s brewing at this year’s BlizzCon.” I am assuming an impressive show on November 8 and 9 in Anaheim, California.
If case you didn’t know, this isn’t the first time that this project has changed names, originally it was announced at BlizzCon 2010 as Blizzard Dota and later got renamed to Blizzard All-Stars; let’s just hope they stick to this one for good. DOTA: All-Stars was actually a mod of WarCraft 3.
Oh and apart from all that, who’s looking for a date for the beta launch that has been planned for the project for some time now? I guess we might just get that from next month’s BlizzCon.
