Pokemon X and Y TM and HM Locations Guide


Pokemon X and Y are the latest iterations in Pokemon franchise developed by Game Freak exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. The game is played from third-person and overhead angles.

The game has been critically acclaimed from renowned reviewers and has shattered many records.

Just like its predecessors, Pokemon X and Y have a bunch of Technical Mechanics (TMs) and Hidden Mechanics (HMs) at players’ disposal. Below you will find a complete set of these TMs and HMs along with their effects and location.

TM #01: Hone Claws (Dark-Type)
Location: Route 5
It has PP of 15 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: The Attack stats and Accuracy is increased.

TM #02: Dragon Claw (Dragon-Type)
Location: Victory Road
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 15, 80, and 100.
Effects: These cut down the enemies with sharp edged claws.

TM #03: Psyshock (Psychic-Type)
Location: Victory Road
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 10, 80, and 100.
Effects: It deals damage to enemies by a Psychic wave.

TM #04: Calm Mind (Psychic-Type)
Location: Anistar City Gym
It has PP of 20 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: Spec. Attack and Spec. Defense are increased.

TM #05: Roar (Normal-Type)
Location: Battle Maison Prize
It has PP of 20 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: Enemy Pokémon is switched.

TM #06: Toxic (Poison-Type)
Location: Route 14
It has PP and Accuracy of 10 and 90 but Base Power is unknown.
Effects: It poisons the enemies whose effect gets stronger with time.

TM #07: Hail (Ice-Type)
Location: Shalour City PokéMart
It has PP of 10 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: A storm comes in which damages the enemies.

TM #08: Bulk up (Fighting-Type)
Location: Snowbelle City
It has PP of 20 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: It increases the Attack and Defense of your character.

TM #09: Venoshock (Poison-Type)
Location: Route 6
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 10, 65, and 100.
Effects: Your character’s enemy will be injected with poison.

TM #10: Hidden Power (Normal-Type)
Location: Anistar City
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 15, 60, and 100.
Effects: Its effect varies from Pokemon to Pokemon.

TM #11: Sunny Day (Fire-Type)
Location: Lumiose City PokéMart
It has PP of 5 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: Power of Fire-Type Pokemon is increased due to the intense sun.

TM #12: Taunt (Normal-Type)
Location: Lysandre Labs
It has PP and Accuracy of 20 and 100 but the Base Power is unknown.
Effects: Enemies will be taunted by using Attack-Type moves.

TM #13: Ice Beam (Ice-Type)
Location: Snowbelle City Gym
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 10, 90, and 100.
Effects: It allows you to freeze your enemies.

TM #14: Blizzard (Ice-Type)
Location: Anistar City Poké Mart

Effects: Like the Ice Beam, it also freezes your enemies.

TM #15: Hyper Beam (Normal-Type)
Location: Anistar City Poké Mart

Effects: It deals great damage to the enemies until the next turn.

TM #16: Light Screen (Psychic-Type)
Location: Kiloude City PokéMart
It has PP of 30 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: You will receive less damage from the Spec. Attack of enemies.

TM #17: Protect (Normal-Type)
Location: Parfum Palace
It has PP value of 10 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: Your chances of avoiding attacks will be greatly increased.

TM #18 – Rain Dance (Water-Type)
Location: Lumiose City PokéMart
It has PP of 5 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: The power of Water-Type moves is increased for five turns.

TM #19: Roost (Flying-Type)
Location: Route 8
It has PP of 10 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: Your body will get a rest and HP will be restored up to 50% of the total.

TM #20: Safeguard (Normal-Type)
Location: Shalour City PokéMart
It has PP of 25 but Base Power and Accuracy are unknown.
Effects: Status Condition render useless for five turns.

TM #21: Frustration (Normal-Type)
Location: Cyllage City
It has PP and Accuracy of 20 and 100 but the Base Power is unknown.
Effects: It is a move which is directly proportional to the other Pokémon’s hate towards you.

TM #22: Solarbeam (Grass-Type)
Location: Route 21
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 10, 120, and 100.
Effects: It casts a beam which is charged in the first turn and attacks in the second turn.

TM #23: Smack down (Rock-Type)
Location: Battle Maison Prize
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 15, 50, and 100.
Effects: It will allow Flying-Type Pokemon to land on the earth when hit.

TM #24: Thunderbolt (Electric-Type)
Location: Lumiose City Gym

Effects: It will paralyze enemies by a strong electric beam.

TM #25: Thunder (Electric-Type)
Location: N/A

Effects: It will paralyze enemies by a strong electric beam.

TM #26: Earthquake (Ground-Type)

TM #46: Thief (Dark-Type)

It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 10, 60, and 100.
Effects: Your character will be able to deprive enemies of their held items.

TM #47: Low Sweep (Fighting-Type)
Location: Tower of Mastery

Effects: It reduces the enemies’ Speed by targeting on their legs.

TM #48: Round (Normal-Type)

TM #49: Snatch (Dark-Type)

TM #52: Focus Blast (Fighting-Type)

Effects: It tends to decrease the Spec. Defense of the enemies.

TM #53: Energy Ball (Grass-Type)
Location: Route 20
It has PP, Base Power, and Accuracy in the corresponding order 10, 90, and 100.
Effects: It also reduces the Spec. Defense of the enemies.

TM #54: False Swipe (Normal-Type)
Location: Lumiose City

      gyro ball’s effects are that it has more power the less speed it had than the oppenent, not increasing your power and reducing their speed.

      Flamethrower is not in the Anistar Poke Center, or at least it’s not being sold there. Perhaps you need to be there on a certain day in order to get it from the goth TM chick? Or does the Poke Center restock on TM’s on a certain day? Please confirm the details, thank you.
