Microsoft has announced Halo 3 to be the second title as part of its ‘Games With Gold” program for the month of October.
Later this month, Xbox Live Gold members can get their sweaty palms on to Master Chief and his A.I companion, Cortana, for free and go ahead to save the universe…again.
Normally Halo 3 is priced at $14.99 but from October 15, 2013 to the end of the month, Gold subscribers can download it for free. Halo 3 is the third installment in the iconic sci-fi first-person shooter Halo franchise.
However, before that you have the option of picking up Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, which was already announced late last month to accompany Halo 3.
The story of the title revolves around five main protagonists – Godric, Aidan, Anwen, Nadia and Fiona, each of whom command knights, demons, elves, wizards and necromancers respectively.
The antagonist here is basically Nadia’s father who is set out to use a powerful artifact called Blade of Binding to open the gates to the demon world of Sheogh. It’s also normally priced at $14.99.
Microsoft’s “Games With Gold” program offers two titles for free every month – one in the first couple of weeks and the second in the last ones. The program is only for Gold members and occurs every month.
