Looks like all can’t be well even for the season’s biggest entertainment project; Grand Theft Auto 5 users have sent in multiple complaints stating that either the original Xbox 360s crash every time they try installing the game or the game freezes a couple of minutes into the gameplay, such a pity.
Troubled players’ reports have been picked up from different forums with one being GTAForums where a player claimed that he had talked to Xbox Support regarding the issue and got instructed to follow these instructions:
1.Delete all GTA 5 game data.
2.Clear system cache three times.
3.Delete marketplace data from storage system items.
4.Unplug console for three minutes.
5.Install disc 1.
6.Power off, do not insert disc 2.
8.Install disc 2.
So far we have not heard from Rockstar on this matter though it’s surprising considering how the game is the hot topic everywhere, but surely they will have something to say.
Other than that, the problems have been unofficially related to the original Xbox 360 consoles that were made or refurbished between 2006 and 2008. Though some users are relating the problem with the lower disc spaces we don’t think it has anything to do with that since those Xbox 360s came with a 20GB HDD while according to Rockstar the game only requires 8GB.
The aforementioned procedure has worked for some while others say the problem still persists. Until the time we wait for an official fix to this by Rockstar or Microsoft, you may want to try it out if you are facing the same problem and let us know if it worked.
