Rainbow Six: Vegas Goes Free for Gold Subscribers
Xbox Live Gold members can now go ahead and download Rainbow Six: Vegas for free, courtesy of Ubisoft and Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion.
The game weighs in at 6.6 GB and will be free for all Gold subscribers until the end of the month. The new title comes as a replacement for Magic 2013 which was free on the Xbox Live for the first couple of weeks of the month.
The storyline revolves around the same counter-terrorist group Team Rainbow, who now are sent into the Mexican desert to arrest a terrorist leader. Things though take new turns and quickly head for las Vegas where the team will try and take down the real enemy.
Rainbow Six: Vegas was released back in 2006 and was received warmly. The shooter managed to gain good commercial success because of its highly detailed strategical gameplay and was seen as a good installment to the franchise. Currently the game can be found priced around $20.
However, those living in South Africa will be receiving a copy of Shadowrun instead of Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Games With Gold is Microsoft’s new found program where they release two games every month for free – one at the beginning and the second at the end of the month. Those who successfully grab hold of these titles during their allotted times will be able to enjoy them until December 31, 2013 regardless of their Xbox Live account being banned or not.
