Saints Row 4 Gets Visited by GTA 5 & Wild West in the Next DLC

The timing couldn’t be any better than this, Grand Theft Auto 5 releases only a couple of days from now which is probably the biggest news of the season. Yet, Deep Silver isn’t planning on letting go off whatever limelight they have maintained with their frenzied Saints Row 4; a GTA5 themed DLC is on its way!

The news was broken through a PlayStation BlogCast from September 12 and picked up initially by Joystiq. According to the BlogCast, what do the guys at Volition do when their game is up against the year’s biggest competition; they bring the competition on their own platform. They’re bringing Los Santos to Steelport.

Come next week, a GTA5 based DLC will be released accompanied with a Wild West themed DLC on the same day when GTA5 releases. So it’s a double treat for you guys out there!

Though it is still unclear what the Wild West pack will include apart from a western touch to the already crazy saints, but there has been some rumor about what the GTA5 will have in store.

According to a GameFAQs leak, the DLC will feature Johnny Gat-styled wear gear, hair, and a knife gun – sounds interesting right? That’s not it though; the DLC is being called GATV instead of GTAV, getting any ideas? Then again, it’s perfectly normal for The President to poke fun around much larger competitors.

Of course the excitement could be hampered owing to the fact that the DLC is facing off against the most expensive game ever released, but hey it’s still going to be worth the time to see how spoofy can Saints Row 4 get.

So far, the packs have only been confirmed for PlayStation Network, but we do expect an Xbox and PC version to follow.

Do let us know what you make of them when the DLC release on September 17.
