Deus Ex: The Fall Restricting Features on Jailbroken Devices

By   /   3 years ago

Edios Montreal’s Deus Ex: The Fall that launched only a day ago on iOS is not allowing users some of the basic features of the game on devices that have been jailbroken – reports Gamespot.

The stealth Action Cyberpunk mobile game Deus Ex: The Fall is the latest edition in the Deus Ex series while being the first on mobile devices. Being a highly anticipated game for that matter, the problem has prompted displeasure among many Apple users. There are many who are using legally jailbroken devices and have paid the seven buck that Deus Ex costs.

There have been numerous posts on Reddit regarding the restriction as well as the official Apple iTunes App Store have seen similar comments as well. According to the comments, the basic feature that has been reported to have been blocked by the game is firing.

As shared, when the players go through the initial tutorial after installing the game they are prompted to fire, complying to that a message pops up saying that “We are sorry but you can’t fire on jailbroken devices” – utter dismay.

As a result, some of the players are retorting to third party applications that can trick the game into believing that the device is not jailbroken so that they can play the worth of their $6.99.

Deus Ex: The Fall is a First Person Shooter Role Playing Game that is set in a futuristic time with a mercenary as the pivotal character. The game was demoed at the E3 held last month amid excitement.

Though the iOS version has been released on 11th July yesterday the Android version’s release date is yet to be decided.
