New Trailer of Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection Reignites 25 Year Old Legacy

By   /   Jun 28, 2013

Last year marked the 25th anniversary of Metal Gear and that is the reason why Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection has been timed to release next month by Konami. So far 24 different versions of the game have been released and it continues to thrive as a doted addiction among millions on millions. The Legacy Collection will be the 25th.

The new trailer has now been made public by Konami on the internet though it was initially released at the E3 earlier this month. It shows just how far the game has come from where it began as well as the gameplay that many of the current gamers have grown up with. Different versions of this genre defining stealth game are shown in the trailer that does justice to its heritage spotting that it is “a legacy passed to future generations”

The collection pack has been priced at 50 USD and will get you eight different editions of the game including the HD edition of MGS 2 and MGS 3 supporting the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, a different version of Metal Gear Solid 4 and an HD edition of Peace Walker. Other than this Metal Gear Solid and VR Missions will be downloadable through the package as well.

That was the primary gaming side but that’s just not it; the exclusive to PS3 Legacy Collection will also include Metal Gear Solid digital graphic novels along with an art book that depicts the 25 years of the venture’s legacy.

Not that it needs mentioning but the action adventure stealth game has been one of the pioneers in its genre. Solid Snake plays the protagonist who has been famous for his traits like smoking and his continuous presence in the franchise has led him to be voted as one of the greatest videogame heroes – Guinness World Records Gamers Edition 2011 lists him as the fourth most popular videogame character.

The collection comes out on the 9th of July.
