Irrational Games took their sweet time in releasing BioShock: Infinite and after promises of story-based DLC content; so far have failed to deliver anything. Gamers who decided on picking up the game’s Season pass for $20 on Steam are now thinking if the purchase was a mistake.
Irrational Studios’ creative director and BioShock: Infinite lead Ken Levine took to Twitter on Wednesday to assure everyone that they are working on ‘something’ but that development takes time.
“DLC Update: We are working on it- have been since the game shipped. Things are going well, but plz understand: game development takes time,” reads the Tweet from Levine.
In related news BioShock Infinite has received its first DLC but it’s a weapons pack; basically the combination of all the upgrades from the the pre-order only Industrial Revolution Pack, and the Ultimate Songbird Edition’s Upgrade Pack.
It’s called ‘Columbia’s Finest’ pack and is now available for download on Xbox Live (480MSP), PSN ($4.99/£3.99/€4.99) and Steam ($4.99/£3.69/€4.49)
Buyers will start the game with five extra lockpicks, 500 Silver Eagles, six new gear items providing unique passive bonuses, and two upgraded weapons: Comstock’s China Broom Shotgun and Comstock’s Eagle Eye Sniper Rifle.
The ‘Columbia’s Finest’ pack does not count against the game’s Season Pass; which will contain three DLCs that we have yet to hear about.
