Deadpool PC Errors, Crashes, Black Screen, Sound and Controls Fixes
Deadpool fans must be excited as a complete game based on the notorious Marvel anti-hero is headed their way. I am a fan too; a fan of his outrageous taunts and humor.
The game, however, is a blend of his jolly behavior and exhilarating action. The game features a variety of game-styles, including melee weapons and firearms. Then there are upgrades that contribute towards your survival as the game progresses.
Apart from all these positives, there can be some game breaking issues due to different problems. Most of the times, these problems can be resolved by simple tweaks, fixes or workarounds. So, if you are stuck and want to fix any issue, you can refer to the following guide.
#1 Deadpool Bad Textures Fix
There is a possibility that you may experience weird textures while playing the game. The problem can occur if you haven’t restarted your PC after the installation. As a quick fix, you should press Alt+Tab to minimize the game and then get back in. If that doesn’t help, try restarting the game.
#2 Deadpool – Camera Keeps Moving Spontaneously
If your camera is continuously moving without your consent then you need to unplug your controller. This should fix the issue for you.
If that doesn’t help, you should try to disable your controller in Windows Control Panel/Hardware & Sound/Windows Device Manager/Human Interface Devices/HID Conform Gamecontroller/Right Click Properties.
#3 Deadpool – Save Game/Character Progression
Deadpool uses the auto-save feature so the game will be automatically saved at certain points. You need to make sure that your machine doesn’t turn off while the save is in progress or you can end up with a corrupted save file.
On the other hand, Deadpool does allow you to reset all your attributes in the settings menu. All the unlocked levels however, will stay unlocked but you will loose the last saved checkpoint. So, if you are encountering a corrupted save file, resetting the attributes may let you proceed with the game.
#4 Deadpool Controls Issue
Deadpool seems to be optimized for the Xbox controller so if you are using any bother brand, there can be minor issues. However, to configure your controller properly, you can use third party programs like Xpadder or MotionJoy etc.
#5 Deadpool – Black Screen Issue Fix
Black screen can appear due to multiple reasons. You can try out the following to resolve the problem:
- Make sure that you are using the latest version of drivers for your GPU.
- Your system should have latest version of PhysX drivers installed even if you are not using a Nvidia card.
- If you have the game installed on an external hard drive, you need to switch your installation in the internal drive.
#6 Deadpool Crash Fixes
If your game is being crashed in any scenario, try out the following points to fix the issue:
- After the installation is complete, restart your system.
- Restart Steam to see if there is an update pending.
- Install the redistributable and directx package bundled with the game.
#7 Deadpool Sound Problems
Some users are experiencing bad/no sound issues. There is no permanent fix for the problem but if you are using speakers (specially the surround sound), try using your headphones. Not to mention that your sound drivers should be up-to-date.
If you come across any other issues in the game, comment and we will try to help you out!
