Sky Pirates of Tyria Update Announced for Guild Wars 2
Following up with last week’s Dragon Bash update, ArenaNet already have plans for even more content with the newly announced Sky Pirates of Tyria update that they’ve scheduled for next week!
Scheduled to launch on June 25 (next Tuesday), this latest update is going to add a lot to the ever ongoing Living World saga.
This update will add a couple of other things, besides the new dungeon and story content that are the main meal of this content.
ArenaNet have announced that Custom Arenas and Spectator Mode will finally be coming out of beta and will be made fully-fledged features. Now you’ll be able to host private PVP matches with custom settings, so long as you purchase the Custom Arena Starter Kit from the Gem Store.
As for the rest of the content, you’ve got a brand-new dungeon to look forward to in the form of Aetherblade Retreat. This base will form the home of the Aetherblade pirates and is hidden from the public eye.
You’ll have to find the entrance to this dungeon for yourself, and once you’re in you’ll be thrust into a deadly battle against the forces of the Aetherblade Captain and his First Mate.
This patch will also be bringing one of the largest balance patches ever to hit Guild Wars 2 so far. A significant number of updates will be launched across various different traits and skills.
These changes are being introduced in an effort to add more diversity to the available builds for each class and character. Some of the less effective skills are also being buffed up to improve them overall.
The new Mortar Mastery ability is the latest World vs. World ability to make the main roster as well. By training in Mortar Mastery you can vastly improve your mortar effectiveness.
A number of improvements to this line include increasing the blast radius of your mortar fire, as well as increasing the damage, skill recharge reduction and some new skills, such as the Mortar Barrage that speaks for itself.
