Yusuf Mehdi Says That Xbox One Will Win in the Long Run

Some people would say that Microsoft lost to Sony at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, but according to one of the top dogs of Microsoft, Yusuf Mehdi, it’s not about winning at E3, it’s about winning the consumers in the long run.

According to Gearnuke, he says that they ‘unveiled 20 titles for Xbox One, of which 17 are exclusive to this console. I do not think Sony can say the same’. He also said that it was ‘No use to me win a show, because the test will be the consumer. In the long run our console wins.’

It could be true since this kind of derision was something that the Nintendo Wii went up against and in the end it managed to outsell both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 by far. It feels like all the people who are trashtalking Microsoft’s console are just a vocal minority, and the people who will be getting an Xbox One have already decided on getting an Xbox One.

Either way, Microsoft is still running damage control from the consumer backlash they’re getting due to their new DRM, restrictions on playing used games, and online checks. Who do you think will win out in the end? Which console will you get first? Are you even getting one?
