According to Playstation 4’s official hand-outs that were distributed at their E3 press conference: inFAMOUS: Second Son will most probably feature online multiplayer.
However, no details what-so-ever were provided by Sony at the conference. The official hand-out obtained by VideoGamer confirms that the hand-out had bunch of information on Playstation IV’s forthcoming games along with their brief details.
Titles such as Knack were listed as single-player only. However, upon observing inFAMOUS: Second Son, they noted that the hand-out read single-player and ‘Online Players TBC’ which clearly was not there for other single-player titles such as Knack.
This does provide us with a hint that inFAMOUS: Second Son might feature online capabilities.
Although this is something entirely new which is happening to inFAMOUS franchise, inFAMOUS 2 did include some online features in an option called ‘User-Generated-Content’ which enabled players to create their very own levels and storyline and share it with the rest of the world.
Does not exactly sound like multiplayer but it did try and bring in some online interactions. And we have a strong feeling that inFAMOUS: Second Son is the kind of title that would make an amazing multiplayer experience for gamers.
inFAMOUS: Second Son is an open-world action-adventure franchise which is expected to be one of the PlayStation IV’s launch titles. The game is expected to hit the store exclusively for Playstation IV somewhere in 2014.
