Sony Show Immense Indie Support For Playstation 4

During their E3 press conference, Sony really showcased the support they have for indie developers. They announced a number of indie titles that would be coming to the PlayStation 4, and then in a shock announcement they revealed that there would be self-publishing services for indie developers.

Amongst the newly announced titles was Ray’s The Dead, which is a new action-puzzler title from Ragtag Studio’s. In this cartoon-ish game you’ll gather a horde of zombies to help you complete a variety of puzzles.

Joining Ray’s The Dead is Octodad: Dadliest Catch which is a strange little title involving an octopus in an everyday house.

Also there’s Mercenary Kings which looks to be a huge amount of fun. It’s a pixelated run-and-gun shooter that’s being developed by Tribute Games.

Rounding up the list though is Outlast, which looks to be absolutely terrifying. This game, powered by the Unreal engine, is currently in development by Red Barrels. The trailer they revealed back in October 2012 confirmed that it would be releasing on PC, but is now joined by a launch on PlayStation 4.
