Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is a New Third-Person Action Title
A most surprising announcement was made today by PopCap during EA’s E3 conference. The developer behind the popular tower defense game Plants vs Zombies is now bringing a new title in the same universe, except that it’s a third person action title now powered by the Frostbite engine.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is looking hilarious to say the least. I’ve enjoyed playing the original Plants vs Zombies and am expecting the sequel anxiously. However, knowing that I will soon be able to play the same characters from a third-person perspective and in a visually pleasing setting with incredibly animated boss fights; gives me a warm fuzzy plant like feeling.
The developer showcased the game’s cooperative survival mode on stage where they took on class-based roles to keep the enemies at bay.
The Pea Shooter is your offensive class, Sunflower is your healing class, and the Cactus is your ranged artillery. There may be more classes but PopCap did not mention them. You can check out the gameplay in the trailer above.
It’s uncertain whether the game will be released for the PC or not. For now we only know that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will arrive on the Xbox One first and then later on the Xbox 360.
