In case you have forgotten, there is a separate Zelda title in development for the Wii U as well. I say that since this title has faced numerous delays and I still can’t figure out why Nintendo couldn’t get this title ready to launch along side the Wii U. In doing so, things could have been different.
According to Nintendo all this wait is going to be worth it. The Zelda game for the Wii U is apparently the “biggest Zelda game ever” and according to director Eiji Aonuma, will surprise players with its new new featured additions.
“The new game (A Link To The Past 2) will play very differently to the original,” he said in an interview with Edge. “I think the new additions will make players see the game in a different way. And, of course, we’ll introduce even more unexpected elements in the Zelda game that we’re making for Wii U.”
Those two aren’t the only Zelda games on Nintendo’s plates. The software giant is also working on a Wind Waker Wii U remake in HD. Though Nintendo hasn’t given any confirmation, we expect to see all three titles in action at this year’s E3 conference.
