DICE Has Surprises in Store Other Than Battlefield 4 for E3

The eponymous opponent to Call of Duty is often cited to be Battlefield 4, so as E3 draws closer we’re all looking closely to see what DICE are doing with the IP in order to tackle the behemoth that is CoD. In a shock move though, DICE have revealed that they’ve got more up their sleeves than just Battlefield 4 for this E3.

A new video released earlier today by DICE general manager, Karl-Magnus Troedsson, revealed the news that they had a surprise to show off at this year’s E3. You can check out the video above.

“E3 is less than a week away and we’re hard at work with all the awesome games that we have to show you. Our excellent dev team is hard at work with Battlefield 4, of course, but we also have a couple of surprises up our sleeve,”

So, what surprises could DICE have in store for us and for E3? Well, we know that they’ve been working on a brand new Star Wars game that is still being kept under wraps. EA teased us with the possibility that the mysterious Star Wars title could be a brand new game in the Battlefront series.

There’s also a lot of rumours flying around that DICE are secretly working on Mirror’s Edge 2, what with EA registering domains for it and various different retail outlets had it crop up in their online stores. Considering the close-to cult status that the original Mirror’s Edge received, a sequel would definitely be well received by fans of the first, as well as opening up potential new markets.

The only thing we can safely assume it isn’t is Bad Company 3, as DICE recently confirmed that they weren’t working on it at all.
