Castlevania: LOS Ultimate Edition Headed to PC This August

By   /   Jun 5, 2013

Konami have officially announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition will be releasing on PC and Steam as of this August.

It’s been three years since Lords of Shadow was originally released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and the Ultimate Edition included a pair of DLC add-on chapters called Reverie and Resurrection. The new PC version will contain the additional DLC content, just as the console counterparts do, but will also have polished graphics as they promise the game will run at 60 frames per second at 1080p, so long as your PC specs are up to it. There will be complete trophy/achievement integration for the Steam version of the game for all of you achievement hunters as well.

It doesn’t look like this port will have any exclusive content to make up for the three year delay, but I’m presuming that there will be a lower price considering that the game is somewhat out of date now.

The PC version of Lords of Shadow will launch in Europe on August 27 via Steam, with a physical retail release following just a couple of days later on August 30. Unfortunately no details have been released yet on when the game will launch in North America.

The announcement comes with a swanky trailer that you can check out above, but it is a bit long clocking in at just shy of five minutes.
