A United Kingdom based website recently carried out a survey on their website (VoucherCodesPro) and roughly asked 1,112 UK citizens about their opinion on the reveal of Next-gen Xbox according to which almost 52% of people said that they are not satisfied by the unveiling of next generation of Xbox (Xbox One).
Roughly around 39% said that they don’t care much about the TV capabilities it has to offer at all!
The survey initially asked people, “What words from the list do you think would best describe your initial impression of the Xbox One following its unveiling?” A list of words was given below and people would tick the most appropriate option according to their liking. They were also allowed to tick more than one word if that would describe how they feel about it! Below are the top 5 words that the people chose:
All those people who didn’t like the unveiling were further asked to give a reason for it and almost 47% said that a gaming console should primarily focus on games, 39% said that they didn’t care about the television capabilities it has to offer, 29% said that they don’t think Skype integration was a necessity and 22% people said that they didn’t like the overall look of the console.
They were then further asked what they would have liked to hear more during the conference and 42% said “Launch new titles.” 34% said that they wanted better graphics and a solid 29% said that they wanted more gameplay.
And then those who were in favor of it were asked the reason behind it and surprisingly 37% said that they are just excited to get their hands on a new console. 31% said that they are excited about the cloud storage functionality and 19% admitted that they were going to be excited about it, no matter what!
And lastly when all of them were asked which console are they going for? A solid 61% voted for Playstation 4.
After the whole survey got completed, George Charles of VoucherCodesPro said that a gaming console should primarily stick to gaming and that the survey proves this!
What do you think – is Microsoft right in making their new console a complete entertainment package rather than a pure gaming console? Do let us know in the comment section below!
