New Super Luigi U Coming in August

By   /   3 years ago

Luigi’s big break in the 2D platforming world is going to hit the Wii U in just a couple of months. New Super Luigi U was originally announced as a DLC package for New Super Mario Bros U that would allow you to replay through all the levels with new characters and stages, all revolving around a new team of players headed up by Mario’s bro, Luigi.

At yesterday’s Nintendo Direct livestream, it was announced that the DLC content would also be available as a retail purchase in stores for just $30. It will be available in stores from August 25, just over two months after the DLC counterpart hits the Nintendo eShop.

If you own the original title and want to purchase New Super Luigi U then you can still buy it as DLC for the lower price of $20. It will hit the eShop on June 20.

This DLC package is a full overhaul of the original game and will update all of the original 82 levels with Luigi leading the way and the inclusion of the new character; Nabbit.

We’ve known about this DLC since the original announcement in the February Nintendo Direct that claimed that 2013 would be the Year of Luigi, where this was announced alongside Luigi’s Mansion 2.
