Elder Scrolls Online will be Playable at Gamescom

By   /   May 2, 2013

It’s about time we see how the Elder Scrolls Online MMO is doing. Developer ZeniMax Online Studios has announced today that the game will be showcased at Gamescom this Summer. Additionally all attendees will also get a chance to play it first-hand.

“We’re bringing ESO to Cologne this year for our very first European convention,” said ZeniMax. “Gamescom is the largest gaming convention in Europe, and thousands of you will have the opportunity to play The Elder Scrolls Online at our booth. We can’t wait to meet you!”

Many think and hope the MMO to be a page out of Skyrim. However, that’s not the case. The Elder Scrolls Online MMO is setup a thousand years before the events of any Elder Scroll title – Morrowmind, Oblivion or Skyrim.

A total of three factions will be available at launch for players to choose from. I’m excited to know that the realm will feature most of the prominent names from the series, specifically the Daedric prince Molag Bal.

Elder Scrolls Online will release later this year for the PC and Mac. More details and reveals for the game are slated for summer.

Gamescom will commence on August 22nd and will run until August 25th in Cologne, Germany.
